Shimano is the global leader in
bicycle components. It also manufactures fishing equipment. The bicycle
business is suffering a difficult year as retailers and manufacturers
have both significantly cut inventories. However, underlying demand for
new bikes has only fallen slightly, thus Shimano will see a strong
recovery in 2010 which is not reflected in its current share price.
